Details Work in the Level 2B Special Care Nursery unit within a 25-bed Birthplace unit encompassing L&D, PP, NBN, 2 ORs, 2 ANU rooms, and a recovery room Unit includes 5 L&D rooms, 12 PP beds, 2 ORs with recovery room, and 2 ANU rooms with 4 beds Average daily census of 15-25 mothers, babies, and laboring patients Patient ratios include 1:2-3 for L&D evaluations, 1:1 for active labor, magnesium drip, or epidural patients, and 1:3-4 for PP Uses EPIC EMR charting system 36 hours per week with day rotate schedule (7a-7p, 11a-11p, 7p-7a) including 1 night of call, or non-rotating evening/night shifts Every other weekend required No floating required Requirements Active MA RN license required with no conditional or pending licenses accepted Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications required Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required 3 years of experience working in one location and 2 years as a traveler preferred Special Care Nursery and Newborn Care skill sets required Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions accepted Additional Information Provide specialized nursing care to newborns, mothers, and laboring patients across L&D, PP, NBN, OR, and ANU areas Local candidates must reside within a 60-mile radius of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston to be considered local, at a reduced rate compared to standard travel rate RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration American Traveler Job ID P-744844.
