Fine Dining Restaurant Server
The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Fine Dining Restaurant Server to join the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences. A server's primary responsibility is to ensure exceptional dining experiences for guests. A friendly and professional demeanor, attention to detail, and ability to multitask will contribute to the overall success of the establishment.
Responsibilities include:
- Greet guests and welcome them in a friendly manner
- Take drink orders and follow policy regarding service of alcohol
- Know the menu and be able to explain menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to guests
- Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure all orders are prepared and delivered on time and together
- Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, ensuring accuracy and good presentation, and timed so the entire table is served within a reasonable time frame
- Check on guests during their meals to ensure satisfaction and address requests/concerns
- Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally and bring issues to management
- Collaborate with fellow servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service

- One year of restaurant server or customer service is preferred
- Previous Luxury or Forbes experience preferred
- Strong multitasking and time management abilities
- Knowledge of food and beverage menus, including dietary restrictions and allergies
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic math skills for handling payments and calculating tips
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays is required
- Physical demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and prolonged extended periods of standing
