In this position you will be heavily involved with Renewable Development projects from beginning to end, to include exposure to cross functional teams across the NextEra Energy Resources organization. You will be part of a growing team of experts who not only provide excellent inputs and analysis but are also customer service oriented with internal and external stakeholders.Employees in this role are strong problem solvers, blending creative and analytical skills to solve the grid problems of today and future. You will use utilize data from various internal and external sources to perform technical & market analysis and propose storage & hybrid solutions to support our customers’ evolving needs. As an internal consultant, you will be expected to work collaboratively with Developers, Originators, and technical SMEs to support RFPs, customer discussions and PPA negotiations.Job OverviewEmployees in this role develop and execute plans for new and enhanced generation projects. This job is responsible for resource allocation, schedules, cost and technical adequacy, ensuring the project or transaction is completed in the most cost-effective and competitive manner. This position manages all aspects of the business deal and ensures the project is completed on time and within budgetary constraints.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesManages all aspects of the day-to-day transaction process to ensure timely completion as well as a cost-effective and competitive resultLeads and coordinates key functions such as financial feasibility analyses, engineering/design, project legal review, permitting activities and financial negotiationsResponsible for managing multiple and complex projects Coordinates due diligence activities with other internal groups to ensure proper analysis and structuring of assigned projectsActs as liaison between internal and external specialists regarding procurement, contracting, permitting and interconnectionConstructs contractual arrangements for project developmentNegotiates agreements with consultants and subcontractorsEnsures compliance with applicable technical and regulatory requirementsFosters external relationships with customers, third parties and members of the communityPerforms other job-related duties as assignedRequired QualificationsHigh School Grad/GEDBachelor's Degree or Equivalent ExperienceExperience: 5+ yearsPreferred QualificationsNoneNextEra Energy offers a wide range of benefits to support our employees and their eligible family members.
