Job Description We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in managing a wide range of diagnoses and exhibit strong skills in emergency nursing techniques. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients of all age ranges in the Emergency Department.
- Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and implement nursing interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
- Monitor and document patient progress and responses to treatment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Support emergency procedures such as intubation, chest tube insertion, and care of ventilated patients.
- Participate in triage and assessment of incoming patients.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an emergency department setting; 2 years preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse license for the state of Maryland or compact license.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI are required.
- Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
- Strong skills in emergency protocols and a comprehensive understanding of critical care situations.
