Responsibilities
- Plan and provide nursing care to patients in the step-down unit, ensuring timely assessment, planning, and implementation of care
- Accurately interpret ECG rhythms and respond to rhythm changes and life-threatening emergencies
- Monitor patient status and intervene as needed to stabilize conditions in a high-acuity environment
- Supervise and delegate appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel in accordance with scope of practice
- Collaborate with the healthcare team and CNA staff to coordinate care and ensure patient safety and continuity of care
- Document care activities, monitor outcomes, and communicate changes in patient condition to the team

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California (or eligibility to practice in California)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience in a step-down/PCU or similar acute care setting
- Proficiency in ECG rhythm interpretation and monitoring
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to supervise and delegate tasks to CNA staff
