Forklift OperatorAs a Forklift Operator, you are responsible for safely operating forklift equipment to move, load, and unload materials throughout the facility and yard. This role includes performing routine equipment inspections, ensuring proper material handling and placement, and supporting production activities in the steel shop as needed. You will work in a fast-paced environment where safety, efficiency, and attention to detail are essential to keeping operations running smoothly.Day and night shift available 6am and 4pm start time.Safety is our highest priority. The ideal candidate is reliable, follows safety procedures, and is willing to support a variety of shop and production tasks. This person works well independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Ideal candidates will have:High school diploma or equivalent but not required.Experience operating a forklift in a construction setting preferred.Forklift Certificate preferred but not required.Working conditions/physical requirements:Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm useCapable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hoursComfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequentlyAbility to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazardsWillingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors (depending on location)Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area.This profile summarizes key duties and expectations but does not list every possible job task.
