Hospitality (Safety) Specialist

SUMMARY OF POSITION Hospitality Specialist focuses on supporting clients and staff to promote health and safety throughout the organization, creating a safe and welcoming environment for all. The position performs safety‑related functions, ensuring compliance with operational guidelines and professional ethics. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Functions in accordance with operational guidelines and professional self‑ethics. Participates in staff development activities, data collection, program evaluation, and grant applications. Participates in all required meetings and engages in reflective practice regarding self‑regulation of emotions and behaviors. Evaluates self and assigned staff according to Brightli Operational Guidelines. Utilizes best practices, including trauma‑informed care and crisis intervention. Upholds commitment to belonging by demonstrating cultural awareness and respect. Performs other special functions as outlined. Contributes to optimal customer service and care. Facilitates initial and ongoing interactions to ensure treatment facilities are a haven for therapeutic transformation. Greets all promptly, pleasantly, and with courtesy. Provides clients and visitors with assistance, direction, and information. Manages communication with clients and ensures a safe working environment for all. Continuously assesses and supports staff, client, and visitor perceptions of safety and respect. Assists in resolving client issues and complaints. Builds positive relationships with staff and clients through open communication. Arrives prepared to participate in required duties, meetings, shift changes, and staff meetings. Conducts ongoing threat assessment and enforces safety measures. Responds and intervenes to unsafe acts or processes that jeopardize the environment. Implements crisis prevention and management techniques with authorized de‑escalation methods. Models positive verbal and non‑verbal behavior, encouraging hope, motivation, and resilience. Initiates proactive responses to duties with minimal supervision. Accepts constructive feedback and implements changes. Available on‑call and works flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Performs all duties assigned by Facilities Leadership Team. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in‑person, and virtual methods. Provide customer‑service oriented interpersonal skills. Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Communicate effectively to groups, families, and community contacts. Perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure. Apply common‑sense understanding in written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions. Handle standardized problem situations with multiple variables. Establish effective relationships via telephone and personal contacts. Follow directions and accept supervision. QUALIFICATIONS Education Level High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred Years of Experience Preferred experience with well‑rounded populations across the lifespan and cultural awareness.
