Newborn Pediatric Hospitalist

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a full-time Newborn Pediatric Hospitalist (MD/DO) to join its well-established pediatric hospitalist team at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada, offering an exciting opportunity to practice high-quality newborn hospital medicine in a collaborative, well-supported environment, with academic affiliation and comprehensive subspecialty support.

The provider will be responsible for:

• Performing newborn nursery examinations
• Performing circumcisions
• Participating in pediatric resident and medical student education
• Working alongside Pediatrix-affiliated pediatric intensivists, hospitalists, and neonatologists
• Collaborating with dedicated newborn nursing staff trained in transitional, newborn, and couplet care
• Leveraging Certified Lactation Specialist support available 365 days/year
• Practicing in a 58-bed Level 3 NICU with 24/7 in-house neonatology coverage
• Utilizing comprehensive pediatric subspecialty support, including pediatric surgery
• No delivery attendance required

This is a permanent, full-time position that requires residency within the immediate local area. Relocation may be required. Not accepting Locums candidates. Not accepting visa candidates.

Compensation and Benefits: Competitive salary. Base salary range is $190K - $230K (based on years of experience and training; discussed during interview).
