Insurance Agency Account Manager

We’re a small, growing property & casualty insurance agency based in the Polaris area of Columbus. We serve primarily Arizona and Ohio customers and value hard work, integrity, and excellent client service. We’re hiring a licensed insurance professional to start at 30 hours/week with the expectation of moving to full-time as the business expands. Hybrid and work-from-home options available.
Responsibilities
- Answer phones and respond professionally to customer inquiries
- Service personal and commercial lines customer needs
- Monitor delinquent accounts and contact customers to resolve past-due balances
- Enter new accounts and policy changes into the agency management system accurately
- Perform account retention and account rounding activities to identify opportunities
- Prepare and present quotes for new and renewal business
- Follow up on claims and keep clients informed of status and next steps
- Manage a small amount of social media marketing for the agency
- Collaborate with the team and support process improvements
Required qualifications
- Property & Casualty (P&C) license and Life & Health license (current and in good standing)
- Preferably 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry
- Experience servicing both personal lines and commercial lines accounts
- Strong phone and written communication skills and excellent customer service
- Detail-oriented with strong data-entry skills
- Self-motivated, reliable, and excited to grow with a small agency
Preferred
- Prior agency experience and familiarity with agency management systems and quoting tools
- Experience with small-business social media marketing
- Knowledge of EZLynx and Applied Epic software
