• Hours: 8 hours/day
• Pay: $40.00+ per hour (Based on experience) + Benefits
• On-Call: Yes – discussed during interview
• Weekend: Based on caseload; additional weekend hours may qualify as overtime
• Relocation: Possible, discussed during interview
• Company Vehicle: Provided

Compensation

• $40.00+ per hour , based on experience
• $2.00/hour shift differential after 2:00 PM
• $3.00/hour shift differential after 10:00 PM
• $4.00/hour weekend differential
• Weekend work based on caseload may qualify as overtime
• Same-day advances may be available; details discussed during interview
• Relocation may be considered for qualified candidates

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced General/Vascular Sonographer to provide mobile ultrasound services throughout the Panama City, FL area.

The Sonographer will travel to various healthcare facilities, including nursing homes, home care facilities, and other designated locations, to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations using portable equipment.

This position is ideal for a self-motivated and dependable Sonographer who is comfortable working independently, traveling to multiple locations, and providing high-quality patient care with minimal direct supervision.

-> Key Responsibilities

• Perform mobile diagnostic ultrasound examinations using portable sonographic equipment.
• Travel to nursing homes, healthcare facilities, and other assigned locations to provide ultrasound services.
• Obtain clinically diagnostic and technically competent images.
• Process ultrasound examinations and electronically transmit images to radiologists for interpretation.
• Verify physician orders and ensure the requested examination matches the documentation in the patient's chart before beginning the exam.
• Confirm patient identity using appropriate patient identifiers.
• Follow all applicable patient safety, infection-control, and clinical procedures.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, facilities, patients, supervisors, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Use the company's dispatch/self-dispatch system to receive and manage assigned cases.
• Respond promptly to urgent communications.
• Maintain accurate examination-related documentation and billing paperwork.
• Maintain and properly care for company-provided ultrasound equipment and vehicle.
• Attend required meetings and training.
• Train other technologists when requested.
• Maintain professional, ethical, and confidential conduct at all times.
• Follow company policies, procedures, dress code, and Code of Conduct.
• Successfully complete required background and drug screening.

-> Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography/Ultrasound Technology program .
• Active ARDMS or CCI registration/certification .
• General and Vascular ultrasound experience required.
• ECHO experience is a plus.
• Limited licenses are not accepted.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic smartphone and computer skills.
• Ability to use electronic systems for documentation, communication, and image transmission.
• Must be dependable, self-motivated, and professional.
• Must maintain all required certifications, registrations, health requirements, and operational credentials.

• ARDMS or CCI – Required
• General Ultrasound – Required
• Vascular Ultrasound – Required
• ECHO – Preferred

-> Work Environment

This is a mobile ultrasound position . The Sonographer will travel to various patient care locations rather than working from a single hospital or imaging center.

A company vehicle will be provided for the position.

The role requires the ability to transport portable ultrasound equipment to patient locations. The equipment bag weighs approximately 18–20 pounds and may be transported using a wheeled cart.

• Must maintain a valid driver's license and be able to provide documentation upon request.
• Must successfully complete required background and drug screening.

• Required medical physical examination and TB screening at hire and annually thereafter.
• Must complete required annual infection-control training.
