Location: Winston-Salem, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week available; every other weekend required

Highlights:

• 35-bed adult medical-surgical/telemetry overflow unit with diverse case mix focused on physiologic stability and complication prevention
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5, occasionally 1:6, with CNA support at 1:12
• 13-week assignments or longer accepted through February 27 end date
• Epic charting system with Pyxis and SBAR protocols
• Floating to sister units as needed; comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• 36-hour orientation period with first-week hospital orientation required

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience required
• Previous travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
• Active North Carolina or Compact state RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions
• Epic charting experience strongly preferred
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
