In this role, you will:Demonstrate strong subject matter expertise within the Small & Mid Cap Consumer Internet sector, with a solid understanding of key companies and industry dynamicsConduct rigorous analysis of financial statements and industry, company, and market data setsCreate and update financial models and databasesAuthor, with Senior Analyst, differentiated research content on companies and industry themesAttend company and industry events; cultivate relationships with covered companies and industry contactsCommunicate research conclusions to internal and external constituentsCollaborate with research peers to support the generation of cross-sector research contentExercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirementsCollaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goalsRequired Qualifications:2+ years of Securities Research experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications:A BS/BA or higherDirect experience in the Small & Mid Cap Consumer Internet sector or prior equity research coverage of this industryAbility to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are importantAdvanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skillsKnowledge and understanding of financial statement analysisKnowledge and understanding of accounting principles in the capital markets industryKnowledge and understanding of investment tools such as Bloomberg or FactSet applicationStrong, clear and concise written and oral communication skillsJob Expectations:Up to 10% travelObtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position. FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 63 (or 66), 86, and 87 examinations, or equivalent must be completed within either a 90 or 180-day time period following commencement of employment, depending upon the number of license(s) needed if not immediately available to transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted. This will be communicated at time of offer acceptance. Registration for FINRA Series 65 or 66 must be completed prior to conducting Investment Advisory business. Compliance with state law registration and licensing requirements is mandatory. In addition to state registration and licensing requirements, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply. Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA licensing review process at the time of offer acceptance. For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite is required. This position is subject to FINRA background screening requirements. Candidates must successfully complete and pass a background check prior to hire. In accordance with FINRA rules, individuals who are subject to statutory disqualification are not eligible to be associated with a FINRA-registered broker-dealer.
