About the Role:
The Senior Talent Business Partner plays a pivotal role in aligning talent strategies with the overall business objectives to drive organizational success. This position is responsible for partnering closely with leadership teams to identify workforce needs, develop talent acquisition plans, and implement initiatives that enhance employee engagement and retention. The role requires a deep understanding of the business environment in St. Thomas, Saint Thomas - East End, enabling tailored talent solutions that support growth and operational excellence. The Senior Talent Business Partner will lead efforts in workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning to ensure a robust pipeline of skilled professionals. Ultimately, this role serves as a strategic advisor and trusted partner, fostering a high-performance culture through effective talent management practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in talent management, human resources, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience partnering with business leaders to develop and execute talent strategies.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Business Administration.
- Experience working in or with organizations in the Caribbean region, particularly in St. Thomas or similar markets.
- Demonstrated success in leading diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Proficiency with HR information systems and data analytics tools.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand their talent needs and develop comprehensive workforce plans.
- Lead end-to-end talent acquisition processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding of high-caliber candidates.
- Design and implement talent development programs that support employee growth and organizational objectives.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance management, employee engagement, and retention strategies.
- Analyze workforce data and trends to inform strategic decisions and improve talent management practices.
- Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to build a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.
- Partner with HR and other departments to ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
- Facilitate succession planning and leadership development to prepare the organization for future challenges.

Analytical skills are essential for interpreting workforce data and identifying trends that inform strategic decisions and improve talent management processes. The role requires adept project management and organizational skills to design and implement talent acquisition and development programs effectively. Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices ensures compliance and mitigates risk in all talent-related activities. Additionally, skills in coaching and influencing enable the Senior Talent Business Partner to guide managers and foster a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
