Position Overview
The Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) within the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences is on the lookout for a board-eligible or certified reproductive endocrinologist. This individual should have a strong background in assisted reproduction and reproductive endocrinology. The successful candidate will become part of our active clinical program in REI/ART, primarily focusing on clinical responsibilities while also having the chance to engage in research activities. A solid foundation in clinical knowledge and technical abilities is essential. Candidates must hold an MD or equivalent and be eligible for an unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license. H1B visa sponsorship is available.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with a team of 7 physicians and 6 advanced practice providers (APPs).
- Allocate approximately 80% of time to clinical duties and 20% to teaching and research.
- Participate in an equitable call schedule among providers.
- Occasionally work weekends for patients requiring urgent testing and procedures.
- Explore research opportunities through the University of Pittsburgh, if desired.
- Demonstrate excellence in clinical care, education, and research.
- Academic rank will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and accomplishments.
- Engage with a comprehensive fellowship program.

- Faculty appointment at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, based on experience.

Our division frequently collaborates with the Magee Women's Research Institute (MWRI), which, along with the University of Pittsburgh, ranks among the leading biomedical research institutions in the country. The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences is a prominent academic unit within the School of Medicine, dedicated to clinical practice, research, and training.
The REI Division emphasizes research on fertility and hormonal conditions impacting fertility, providing patients with access to this expertise through various clinics. The Center for Fertility and Reproductive Endocrinology (CFRE) is a comprehensive unit that encompasses reproductive endocrinology, fertility preservation, reproductive urology, genetics, embryology, and andrology.
Additionally, the REI division houses the Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) Center and a program for Reproductive Late-Effects, focusing on long-term care following gonadotoxic therapy. All clinical programs within REI serve as a foundation for research and education, with a commitment to training future REI specialists through a robust fellowship program. Providers also work closely with the Center for Reproduction & Transplantation, which specializes in fertility preservation and related research.
