Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager and assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including the month-end close process, preparation of adjusting journal entries, and accounts payable functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This is a full time, in-office position. Essential Functions Manage and process accounts payable functions Assist with month-end and year-end closing process Maintains and reviews cost center and appropriation accounts to verify accuracy with coding, classification and posting of financial transactions Assist with payroll processing as needed Provides support for special accounting projects Education Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field Experience Minimum two years accounting experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply and will be considered. SAGE 100 and ADP Workforce experience a plus Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of budgeting and of cost accounting principles Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve accounting issues High level of attention to detail and accuracy #J-18808-Ljbffr
