Job Responsibilities The Genetics Division is recruiting for an Assistant or Associate Professor. Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is nationally recognized as a leader in pediatric healthcare, with a reputation for excellence in patient care, research, and medical education. We support discovery with 1.4 million square feet of lab space and core services such as high‑throughput DNA analysis, biomedical informatics, a pluripotent stem cell facility, and more. Our scientists and physicians work collaboratively to conduct innovative laboratory and clinical research to improve care for children, investigate treatment outcomes, study health care systems, and train the next generation of investigators. Patient Care – Provide safe, effective, and compassionate patient care commensurate with the level of advancement and clinical specialty, and develop recognition as an authority locally or regionally. Document patient care on appropriate records, implement innovative approaches, provide disease‑specific consultations, examine patients, coordinate services, perform procedures, analyze data, formulate patient‑specific plans, and ensure timely therapeutic management. Teaching and Training – Teach and supervise patient care of assigned medical students, residents, and fellows; serve as a role model, mentor, and curriculum contributor; prepare and present lectures and bedside teaching. Service and Administration – Participate in program development, performance improvement, committees, faculty coverage, and division activities; evaluate students, residents, and peers; maintain current policies. Scholarly Activity – Conduct and publish clinical research, review manuscripts, design studies, obtain external funding, present findings, and recommend improvement processes. Job Qualifications Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or equivalent. Unrestricted licensed physician. Approval/credentialing from CCHMC Medical Staff Services Division. Completion of all required pre‑employment activities. Assistant Professor appointment or eligibility. Prior clinical practice experience may be required based on departmental needs. Preferred: Board certification. Additional Information Clinicians may be asked to work at locations outside of the Burnet Campus. Primary location: Burnet Campus. Schedule: full time, day shift.
