Human Genetics - Assistant or Associate Professor- Research - Tenure

Research Faculty Opportunity – Human Genetics (Assistant/Associate Professor) The Division of Human Genetics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is recruiting a Research Faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level on the tenure track, with an expected effort of 90% research and 10% administrative service. The successful candidate will advance precision medicine and targeted genetic therapies for rare diseases, focusing on lysosomal storage disorders, rasopathies, skeletal dysplasias, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Collaborative opportunities include the Applied Gene and Cell Therapy Center, the Rare Diseases Clinical Research Network, and national initiatives such as the Undiagnosed Diseases Network and the National Organization for Rare Disorders. Responsibilities Conduct independent and collaborative research on precision medicine and targeted genetic therapies for rare diseases. Engage in collaborative projects with the Applied Gene and Cell Therapy Center, Rare Diseases Clinical Research Network, and national initiatives. Mentor graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, residents, and students; contribute to teaching and program development at the division, department, or system level. Lead service and administrative initiatives, including development of programs, policies, and strategic plans aligned with the Division and medical center objectives. Secure extramural grant funding and manage grant applications; support colleagues’ grantmanship. Publish original research, review articles, conference presentations, and other scholarly outputs. Qualifications PhD (or equivalent) in a related scientific or research field. Minimum 3 years of related research experience and a strong publication record. Experience preparing data for scientific meetings and/or grant writing. Strong scientific vision and collaborative interests in bridging discovery and translational genetics. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Employment Details Location: Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Burnet Campus, Cincinnati, OH.
