Entry Level Millwright/ Mechanical Position

Join a growing industrial services team as a Millwright / Field Helper supporting the installation of industrial air filtration and dust collection systems. In this entry-level, field-based role, you travel with experienced field leaders to industrial job sites, assist with mechanical installation and minor welding, and learn to read and interpret blueprints. This position offers hands-on experience, significant travel, and a clear path to grow into a field leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Travel with a field leader to various industrial job sites to support installation projects for dust collection and air filtration systems.
• Assist with the mechanical installation of industrial air filtration systems, including assembling and securing components.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to understand layout, measurements, and installation requirements.
• Hang and install ductwork for dust collection and HVAC-related systems, ensuring accurate alignment and secure connections.
• Perform minor welding tasks under the guidance of experienced team members to support fabrication and installation work.
• Work safely and efficiently in industrial environments, following all safety procedures and using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Collaborate closely with the field leader and other team members to complete projects on schedule and to quality standards.
• Handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting, carrying, and working in dirty or dusty conditions.
• Work at heights when required, including on ladders, platforms, or elevated structures, while maintaining strict safety practices.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality for all scheduled travel and work assignments.
• Support general labor duties as needed, including site preparation, cleanup, and basic mechanical tasks.
• Learn and develop new mechanical, welding, and installation skills with the goal of progressing into a more advanced field role.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn mechanical systems and tools quickly.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow direction from a field leader.
• Basic welding knowledge sufficient to perform minor welding tasks under supervision.
• Willingness to start in an entry-level field helper position and grow within the organization.
• Strong and consistent attendance history in previous employment or schooling.
• Comfort working in industrial environments that can be dirty, physically demanding, and at heights.
• Ability and willingness to travel frequently, including 50%75% out-of-town travel Monday through Friday.
• Basic understanding or exposure to mechanical, electrical, or HVAC-related work.
• Physical capability to perform labor-intensive tasks, including lifting, carrying, and extended periods of standing and climbing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience or interest in field mechanic, millwright, or helper roles in industrial settings.
• Exposure to ductwork installation or HVAC systems.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical, welding, or electrical tasks, even in a school or entry-level environment.
• Strong desire to build a long-term career in industrial installation, fabrication, or machining services.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or willingness to learn this skill with training.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to take on new responsibilities as skills develop.

Work Environment

This is a fully field-based position with the majority of work performed at industrial job sites rather than in a shop or office. Travel is a major component of the role, with approximately 50%75% out-of-town travel from Monday through Friday. Projects typically take place across multiple states, including Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia. You work in active industrial environments that can be dirty, dusty, and physically demanding. The role requires comfort working at heights on ladders, platforms, or other elevated structures. You will use mechanical tools, welding equipment, and installation tools related to ductwork, HVAC, and industrial air filtration systems. The position follows a field schedule aligned with project needs, and you should expect hands-on, physical work in varying site conditions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Brownstown, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $79040.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
