Service supervisor

Core Responsibilities Safety: Ensure that our team members adhere to all of the Xylem Safety training and protocols for each given task and have the necessary PPE to do so. Promote a safety focused culture by carrying out and ensuring a regular daily safety talks with every team member. Staff Leadership: Hire, develop, support, supervise, and coach multiple direct reports. Execute the established training program for all shop service personnel. Ensure staff adhere to established policies, procedures (safety, operational, equipment care/use), and stay in compliance with applicable regulations (such as DOT). Scope Delivery: Understand the contract and the scope of the project. Work directly with project sales and operations teams to ensure the positive delivery of the scope. Schedule and manage field staff in executing scope for the projects. When applicable, provide input during the proposal phase of projects. Internal and External Communication: Keep internal stakeholders informed of shop repair activities, as well as risk and mitigation strategies. Ensure Area Manager is informed of repair related updates, safety, production reports, project related issues/scope of work. Quality Management: Responsible for effective quality assurance and quality control on all aspects of the service repairs. Analyze data, identify discrepancies, and develop and implement corrective actions. Support and help drive all corporate initiatives up to but not limited to Watermark, Concern reporting, point kaizens. Qualifications GED or High School Diploma. Bachelor’s/technical degree preferred. 2-3 years’ experience in a supervisory role. 3-5 years of submersible pump experience required. Efficient in Microsoft Office, standard asset systems/software. Waste Water System experience and pump experience is a plus. Day in the Life In this role, the working environment is based in a shop with the potential for outdoor field support, weather extremities, use of PPE, exposures to high heat and the physical demands may include but not limited to regularly sitting, standing, lifting up to 50 lbs. In addition, this role may require 15-20% of time in the field.
