Cytotechnologist Opportunity
A Cytotechnologist job at a large acute care facility in Galveston, TX involves preparing and examining cell samples to identify abnormalities, including cancer and infections. You will fix, stain, and prepare microscopic slides, evaluate cell characteristics, and assist with fine needle aspiration procedures. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, ensuring specimen labeling, and participating in quality control and continuing education. Required qualifications are a bachelor's degree in a related field and certification as a Cytotechnologist by an approved accrediting agency. No experience is required, but attention to detail, strong communication, and proficiency with laboratory information systems are valued.
