Job Overview
The Field Services Technician is responsible for executing service calls, installations, and system replacements with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency. This role supports the successful completion of heating system installations, oil tank replacements, and general service work in the field.

Candidates must be able to perform physically and technically demanding work consistently throughout the day. A solid understanding of heating, cooling, and plumbing systems is required, along with the ability to diagnose common issues, troubleshoot effectively, and implement solutions as directed.

The Field Services Technician works closely with Lead Technicians and team members to complete jobs to company standards. This role requires strong communication, reliability, and attention to detail, as well as a commitment to delivering a professional, customer-focused experience on every job.

Responsibilities

• Complete heating, cooling, and plumbing service calls and installations
• Review daily schedule and confirm job assignments with team members
• Ensure proper tools, materials, and resources are available for each job
• Communicate job timelines and service interruptions with customers
• Order and coordinate materials when assigned; verify deliveries for accuracy
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas; respect customer property
• Review job scope and identify any out-of-scope or non-functioning systems
• Perform work according to job specifications and company standards
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues in the field
• Take clear notes and photos for job documentation
• Communicate job status, answer customer questions, and escalate issues as needed
• Inspect and test systems prior to completion (including leak checks and operation)
• Support team members or lead smaller jobs when required

Requirements

• Experience with heating, cooling, and/or plumbing systems
• Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the day
• Basic diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow job specifications
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, organized, and able to manage time effectively
• Willingness to learn and take direction from Lead Technicians or Managers
• Valid driver’s license
