Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg, Petoskey, MI, start 06/29/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Weekly pay range: $2,250–$2,350 per week. Shift: 3x12 nights. Work setting: inpatient medical-surgical unit. This position requires an active Michigan RN license and is a travel temporary assignment with no guaranteed hours. Attendance is governed by a strict three-strike policy; absences or lateness may result in termination, with consideration given for clinically substantiated circumstances. Primary responsibilities occur in a diverse, fast-paced Med-Surg environment with emphasis on patient safety and quality outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for adult medical-surgical patients in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Develop, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care guided by the Clinical Practice Model (CPM) and Caring-Quality Model
- Administer medications, monitor for adverse events, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Communicate effectively using SBAR and participate in bedside rounds with the care team
- Provide patient and family education, discharge planning, and safe transition of care
- Maintain documentation that supports quality outcomes and adherence to clinical pathways and evidence-based practice

Requirements
- Active Michigan RN license; license verification via LARA and Nursys; provide explanation for any license history if applicable
- BLS (AHA) certification
- 2+ years of straight Med Surg RN experience; not floated to SDU/Tele; must be Med Surg only
- Level II or I Trauma experience (trauma-designated unit experience preferred)
- Ability to work nights (3x12) and meet the travel assignment requirements
- Eligible for travel assignment and able to work in an inpatient Med-Surg setting
