Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Embark on a rewarding assignment supporting students in a K-5 environment that prioritizes life skills and educational growth. This contract opportunity extends from August 2026 to June 2027 and offers a consistent, full workweek of 32 hours. As an Educational Technician (II or III), you will play a vital role in fostering a positive, inclusive educational experience and providing meaningful assistance to students.
Qualifications:
- Current II or III Educational Technician certificate (required)
- Relevant experience as a paraprofessional or in an educational support capacity
- Experience working with elementary-aged children is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of life skills curriculum and individualized student support strategies
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and specialists
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to creating a nurturing and structured learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional and behavioral support to students in K-5 classrooms
- Assist in implementing life skills-based curriculum under teacher guidance
- Adapt materials and strategies to meet individual student needs
- Foster positive student engagement and encourage independent skill development
- Collaborate with staff and related service providers to ensure comprehensive student support
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records as directed
