Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ growth and learning as an Educational Technician working within a vibrant elementary school setting. This contract role is an excellent opportunity for dedicated paraprofessionals who thrive on helping young learners develop essential life skills. The assignment runs from August 2026 to June 2027, offering consistent weekday hours (32 per week) within a collaborative environment.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Active Educational Technician II or III certificate
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in life skills or special education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents
- Ability to implement a variety of instructional strategies under the direction of certified staff
- Reliable, flexible, and committed to supporting diverse learning needs
Daily responsibilities will include:
- Assisting students in grades K-5 with daily living and academic tasks in alignment with a life skill-based curriculum
- Supporting the teaching staff by preparing classroom materials and assisting with instruction and activities
- Fostering a safe, caring, and positive classroom environment where every student can succeed
- Observing and documenting student progress to provide valuable feedback to educators
- Collaborating with classroom teachers and special education staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
