Keep essential fleets moving

Help maintain and repair specialized, truck‑mounted utility equipment that powers critical work across communities.

Role focus

• Preventive maintenance, service, and repairs on: boom trucks, bucket trucks, digger derricks, dump, service and forestry units, aerial cranes, and other truck‑mounted equipment.
• Work across diesel powertrains, truck chassis, hydraulics, electrical/diagnostics, drive train, and suspension.
• Evaluate, diagnose, repair, and/or replace worn or damaged parts to meet multi‑manufacturer quality standards.
• Document parts, labor, and services; submit repair orders to supervisors for approval and budget alignment.
• Operate with safety first; attend Custom Truck One Source monthly safety meetings. Other duties as assigned.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, day shift
• Overtime as needed; limited Saturdays

Qualifications

• 3+ years working with utility truck equipment, diesel, medium/heavy trucks, or related equipment.
• Skilled in hydraulics, electrical systems, drive train, and suspension.
• Computer proficiency for repair documentation.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical/vocational school or Military Wheeled Mechanic training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL a plus.
• Personal set of mechanic’s tools.
• Capable of frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, and lifting tools/parts with fine motor dexterity.
