Registered Nurse In Emergency Room

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Emergency Room setting License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS Must-Have: - Proficiency in EKG reading and monitoring - Experience in blood product administration and IV skills - Knowledge in triage and maintaining PPE Description: The role involves providing medical care to critically ill and injured patients. Emergency Room staff includes specially-trained emergency physicians and nurses. The work environment features comfortable and private treatment rooms. The admissions process is streamlined for efficient care delivery. Team members utilize the latest monitoring equipment. The position requires working every other weekend. Familiarity with Meditech charting system is preferred. Skills needed include management of dysrhythmias and care of ventilated patients. Knowledge in performing trauma assessments and providing procedural sedation is essential. Responsibilities also encompass starting and maintaining IV access and ensuring patient safety. Candidates should have experience with a variety of patient age groups, including pediatrics and geriatrics. The Emergency Room treats various medical emergencies, including gunshot wounds and traumatic brain injuries. Compliance with safety and health protocols is mandatory, including fit testing requirements. This position is ideal for skilled nurses looking to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
