Dialysis RN - Chronic and Acute Experience Required

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, 5 days per week from 5:30 am to 10:30 pm, with rotating Saturdays. Shifts consist of 8-hour, 10-hour, or a combination of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts based on department needs.

The Dialysis RN will provide care to patients with chronic and acute renal failure undergoing dialysis treatment. The role requires expertise in performing clinical assessments, administering medications, and managing dialysis equipment while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

• Administer dialysis treatment to patients, including chronic and acute cases.
• Monitor and document patient vitals and responses to treatment.
• Perform assessments regarding patient condition and modify care as needed.
• Cannulate AV grafts and fistulas, ensuring proper technique and patient comfort.
• Handle complications related to dialysis treatment, including managing alarms and patient reactions.
• Maintain proper infection control and safety protocols.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in outpatient chronic and acute dialysis care.
• BLS certification is required.
• Current NY state nursing license in hand is required for submission.
• Experience with Fresenius equipment is preferred.
• Understanding of dialysis-related emergencies and complications.
