Job Description

As a Security Officer Medical Facility Access Control in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare-related medical examiner setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for staff and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and report security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas, reporting unusual conditions and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with orderly entry and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency services as needed.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Preferred: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Preferred: Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
