As a Security Officer Full Time Identity Verification in Long Island City, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Access Control Officer supporting a government location, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and assist visitors with professionalism and clear communication. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help deter incidents while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and authorized personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points at a government office location, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct individuals according to established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned public areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to identify and report security-related concerns. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Assist with maintaining orderly entry and exit operations, provide directions and information, and document security-related activities in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
