Architecture Project Manager

AWS Data Center Project Manager Remote, Full-time. AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You will be part of the Critical Projects Implementation (CPI) team, a project management and execution team that manages construction activity within operational data center spaces. The CPI team is tasked with critical infrastructure improvement projects to optimize utilization of space, power, and cooling within operating data centers around the globe. These activities are outside the scope of standard construction delivery and regular preventative maintenance tasks. In this role you will serve as a technical resource within Amazon data centers, responsible for project oversight and review of all disciplines including electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural. You will identify areas for improvement, design, develop, and deploy innovative solutions to address operational challenges. The scope of projects includes improvement of electrical, mechanical, fire detection, and building automation systems. You will coordinate, implement, execute, control, and complete specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals. Key Responsibilities Lead project oversight and review of all disciplines including electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural. Identify improvement opportunities and design, develop, and deploy innovative solutions. Prioritize activities to support data center capacity availability and safety, focusing on the most impactful actions. Work on projects locally and globally. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of construction or project management experience. 5+ years of experience managing projects in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure in an operational space. 5+ years in on‑site construction trades (mechanical, electrical, general) Vendor Management. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, or OSHA.
