Details Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit consisting of a 3-bay OBED, 20 labor rooms, 3 ORs, and 3 PACU bays Cares for laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients, including high-risk antepartum and postpartum cases Travelers function in OBED, L&D, and OB PACU but will not circulate OR cases Night shift, 7:00pm to 7:00am 4 shifts per week at 12 hours per shift, totaling 48 hours weekly (0.9 FTE) 36 and 48 hour weekly contract options available Weekend rotation required (every other weekend) Holiday rotation required (every other holiday) No on-call responsibilities Free parking available Requirements Active RN license in North Carolina or compact license BLS certification (AHA or ARC) ACLS certification (AHA or ARC) NRP certification Current and active Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification through AWHONN or GE Minimum one year of nursing experience required Previous Labor & Delivery operating room experience required Ability to circulate for C-sections Ability to triage OB patients Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing school required BSN or MSN preferred Additional Information Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients using the nursing process Perform bedside point-of-care testing as needed Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care and discharge planning Participate in unit performance improvement activities and professional development Promote a safe, clean, and secure environment for patients and staff Utilize effective communication and cultural competence when providing patient and family education American Traveler Job ID P-721572.
