Consult with members regarding their fitness goals and instruct them on proper and safe equipment use. Promote the Judgement Free Zone by connecting with members, offering assistance, and supporting their fitness journeys while upholding club policies. Frequently perform a comprehensive walk of all fitness areas to ensure a great member experience, addressing any issues promptly. Create bi‑weekly updates featuring a variety of exercises. Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic. Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating to the Assistant Manager or Manager as needed. Assist in front desk related activities: Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions. Check members into the system. Process new member sign‑ups. Take prospective members on tours. Facilitate updates to member accounts. Assist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the club: Clean and sanitize all exercise equipment and Black Card spa amenities. Perform a comprehensive walk of all club areas, quickly fixing safety/policy issues and addressing cleanliness concerns. Ensure restrooms remain clean, sanitized, stocked, and clutter‑free according to the cleaning schedule. Qualifications Previous fitness trainer/instructor experience preferred. Nationally certified training certificate required. Passion for fitness and health. Upbeat and positive attitude. Punctuality and reliability are a must. Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers. Strong listening skills with the ability to empathize and solve problems. Diplomatic communication style with appropriate behavior and language. High school diploma/GED equivalent preferred. Must be 18 years of age or older. Physical Demands Continuous standing and walking during the shift. Continuous talking in person or on the phone during the shift. Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Encounter toxic chemicals during the shift. Move self in different positions, including bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and twisting, to accomplish tasks. #J-18808-Ljbffr
