Compounder / Chemical Batch Mixer (Forklift Experience Required)Location: Harvey, IL Industry: Specialty Chemical Manufacturing Job Type: Full-TimePosition SummaryA growing specialty chemical manufacturer in Harvey, IL is seeking an experienced Compounder / Chemical Batch Mixer to join its production team. This position is responsible for accurately weighing, blending, and mixing raw materials according to established formulas while maintaining a safe and efficient production environment. The ideal candidate has previous chemical manufacturing or batch mixing experience and is comfortable operating a forklift to transport raw materials and finished products throughout the facility.Essential ResponsibilitiesPrepare and compound chemical batches by accurately weighing and measuring raw materials according to production formulas.Operate mixing tanks, agitators, pumps, and other batch processing equipment.Follow batch sheets, manufacturing instructions, and standard operating procedures to ensure product quality and consistency.Load raw materials into mixing vessels and monitor the mixing process.Perform quality checks throughout production and report any deviations to supervisors.Operate a forklift to transport raw materials, drums, totes, pallets, and finished products safely throughout the facility.Stage materials for production and move completed batches to packaging or warehouse areas.Label, package, and prepare finished products for shipment.Maintain accurate production records, batch documentation, and inventory transactions.Perform routine equipment cleaning and assist with preventative maintenance.Maintain a clean and organized production area while following all housekeeping standards.Follow all OSHA regulations, safety procedures, PPE requirements, and hazardous material handling guidelines.Assist with inventory counts and warehouse duties as needed.Perform other production-related duties as assigned.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.Frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.Ability to work around chemicals, industrial equipment, and manufacturing machinery.Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, and other protective gear as required.Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.To Applyemail resumes to View email address on click.appcast.io, COMPOUNDER in the Subject Line
