Vice President of Marketing - Multi-Property (St. Louis)

Position Summary
The Vice President of Marketing, Multi‑property, will develop and execute a strategic and comprehensive marketing plan for Hollywood Casino St. Louis and River City Casino Hotel that optimizes acquisition, retention, revenue growth, penetration rates, and market share. The executive will also mentor and develop the marketing teams at both locations.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic marketing direction to include marketing reinvestment, direct marketing, advertising, public relations/community relations, and entertainment for the properties, generating trial and building long‑term relationships with customers and strengthening brand value.
- Develop and implement annual marketing plan for the property that supports the overall brand strategy for the company.
- Drive improved program results in all areas of responsibility through staff development and training programs, and establish methods, procedures, and guidelines to maintain desired standards and high‑quality service; monitor results through inspection, evaluation, and analysis and make changes if necessary to achieve results.
- Assess, anticipate, and react to the competitive marketplace regarding marketing strategies, programs, campaigns, and promotions.
- Lead departments through active participation.
- Hold management accountability for all team members for day‑to‑day and long‑term operations, including hiring, training, and developing employees, coaching, mentoring, and appropriate performance management up to and including separation.
- Ensure appropriate tech resources are available to run programs.
- Familiarize with all company brand programs and systems, and provide input to improve brand direct marketing efforts.
- Maintain the overall integrity of daily operations, offers, and customer database information.
- Achieve financial results that meet or exceed budget expectations for revenue generation and cost control.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory, governmental, and safety requirements.
- Ensure development of the team, including completion of all required training and knowledge of all policies and procedures relating to their positions.
- Maintain compliance with policies and procedures.
- Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from an accredited four‑year college or university; MBA required.
- Seven years of progressively more challenging experience in a senior marketing role with direct responsibility for revenue generation.
- Experience within the casino industry.
- Ability to understand and analyze Budget and P&L Statements and competitive information, and develop plans with measurable results.
- Proven managerial and critical‑thinking skills.
- Excellent employee relations skills.
- Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions when required.
- Teamwork‑ability to work collaboratively with other departments and leaders to complete property/corporate initiatives and effective day‑to‑day operations.
- Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding work environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Responsible for staff development and training programs.
- Responsible for the rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement.
- Evaluate team members within the department and deliver constructive feedback regarding performance.
- Provide recommendations for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling to meet business needs.
- Manage work procedures and expedite workflow.
- Provide recommendations for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, and counseling).
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses & Registrations
Employee must be able to qualify for gaming licenses, permits, etc., as required by federal, state, and local regulations.
