This role develops learning solutions that are relevant, practical, and aligned with the assigned business line’s goals, context, and measures of success.The Learning Consultant builds sustained partnerships with leaders, subject matter experts, and employees within the assigned business line to develop a shared understanding of its priorities, performance needs, and operating context. The role translates those insights into responsive learning strategies and solutions that strengthen capability, readiness, and performance. The Learning Consultant connects with GL&D and other partners as needed, using enterprise standards and shared resources as guardrails while ensuring solutions remain relevant to the business line’s needs.Key ResponsibilitiesConsultation & partnershipBuild and maintain trusted advisor relationships with business leaders and develop a deep understanding of its strategy, operating context, talent, and performance priorities to understand performance priorities and capability gapsLead structured discovery and diagnostic conversations to identify root causes of performance gaps, including learning and non‑learning factors.Guide stakeholders toward enterprise‑aligned solutions that address the business line’s needsAct as a connector across assigned business line, GL&D, and HR to drive shared ownership and clarityProgram design, delivery & governanceTranslate business line strategy into structured learning journeys, programs, and experiencesPartner with instructional designers, facilitators, and subject matter experts to ensure solutions align to the strategy and to align resources and executionEstablish governance routines, prioritization mechanisms, and decision forums to maintain focus and momentumEnsure programs are scalable, sustainable, and integrated into flow of workMeasurement, evaluation & impactDefine success metrics tied to capability, readiness, employee performance, and outcomes defined with the assigned business lineApply formal measurement and evaluation approaches aligned to ISO standards (e.g., effectiveness, efficiency, and impact)Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to assess program performance and inform continuous improvementCommunicate impact through clear, executive‑ready insights and storytellingBasic QualificationsSix or more years of learning and development, HR, business, or managerial experiencePreferred Skills/ExperienceDemonstrated experience building strong business partnerships and leading learning solutions that address complex, business-specific needsStrong consulting skills with the ability to influence peers and leadersDeep understanding of business consulting, learning strategy, capability development, or performance improvementExpertise in adult learning principles and modern, blended learning approachesExperience using formal measurement frameworks and data to drive decisionsStrong business acumen with the ability to connect learning strategy to business line priorities, performance goals, employee needs, and measurable outcomes.Location ExpectationsThis role requires working from a U.S. Bank hub location three (3) or more days per week.If there’s anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to ourdisability accommodations for applicants.
