This job is responsible for supporting the development and execution of strategic initiatives and/or processes aligned to priorities within a functional area and/or business. Key responsibilities include defining, developing, executing, monitoring, and/or refining strategic initiatives and processes in close collaboration with key stakeholders and internal partners.

Line of Business Job Description:

The Business Strategy, Support & Initiatives Manager II serves as the senior business management and strategic execution partner to the executive leading Wealth Management Advisory, Family Office Solutions, and the New York City Market President organization.

This role is responsible for translating strategic priorities into actionable business plans, governance routines, performance reporting, executive communication and enterprise-wide initiatives. The individual will partner with senior leaders across the Private Bank, Merrill, Global Markets, GCIB, Finance, Risk, HR, and other enterprise functions to drive execution, accountability, and business outcomes.

The role combines strategic planning, business management, chief-of-staff responsibilities, organizational effectiveness, and market leadership support across a complex portfolio of businesses and initiatives.

Strategic Planning & Initiative Execution

• Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute strategic priorities across Wealth Management Advisory, Family Office Solutions, and enterprise growth initiatives.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives, governance routines, and executive scorecards.
• Manage initiative tracking, milestones, dependencies, risks, and outcomes.
• Coordinate strategic opportunities anchored to the firms Enterprise Wealth Continuum framework involving IPOs, M&A transactions, private markets and family offices.

Wealth Management Advisory & Family Office Solutions

• Support business strategy, operating model development, and growth priorities.
• Drive coordination across Private Bank, GCIB, Global Markets, Merrill, and enterprise partners
• Develop business reviews, performance reporting, pipeline analytics, and executive presentations.
• Support strategic expansion, distribution capacity planning, and platform enhancement initiatives.

New York City Market President Support

• Serve as the primary business management partner supporting the New York City Market President and the Market Executive Committee.
• Coordinate market leadership priorities, business integration initiatives, executive engagements, and market governance routines in partnership with the market EXCO.
• Support communications, presentations, employee engagement activities, client events, community partnerships, and executive leadership forums.
• Track market performance, business integration outcomes, and strategic initiatives across all lines of business.

Governance, Analytics & Communications

• Develop executive dashboards, business reviews, and KPI reporting.
• Establish governance forums, operating routines, and accountability mechanisms.
• Prepare executive communications, presentations, briefing materials, and strategic updates.
• Support management of budgets, headcount planning, organizational priorities, and resource allocation.

Talent, Risk & Organizational Effectiveness

• Partner with HR on workforce planning, organizational design, succession planning, and strategic hiring.
• Support leadership development, employee engagement, and culture initiatives.
• Coordinate with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Audit partners to ensure appropriate governance and control discipline.
• Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and Responsible Growth.

Responsibilities:

• Builds and/or executes business initiatives and/or processes, while partnering with stakeholders and partners
• Solves complex problems and delivers on business initiatives and processes by applying subject matter expertise and technical knowledge of the business
• Engages with key stakeholders, partners, and business leadership to deliver on business objectives
• Performs analytics, assessments, and/or interpretation of data and/or information to identify business opportunities, derive insights, and measure outcomes
• Develops strategic and tactical plans to drive progress towards business goals and objectives

Required Qualifications:

• Significant experience in financial services, business management, corporate strategy, and related enterprise disciplines - 10or more years relevant professional experience
• Strong understanding of and professional work experience in wealth management, capital markets, family offices, banking, and/or investment solutions.
• Proven ability to manage complex cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and executive communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into measurable business outcomes.
