Labcorp seeks a phlebotomist for its Alton, Illinois patient service center to perform blood collections, process specimens, and provide customer service. The role involves venipuncture and capillary techniques across diverse patient populations in a Monday-Friday schedule with monthly Saturday shifts.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol testing
- Enter patient information and maintain specimen logs accurately
- Process billing information and collect patient payments as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service and administrative support
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Phlebotomy certification or completed accredited training program
- Minimum 3 months phlebotomy experience
- Ability to pass color blindness test
- Reliable transportation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Compensation: $17.75 - $24.50 per hour
