Maintenance Tech (Entry Level) | High-Rise Residential - Downtown Austin

LOCATION: Downtown Austin - Seaholm District. SCHEDULE: 5 days per week (40 hours): 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. It may include weekends. PAY RATE: $20 per hour.

About the Role We’re looking for a dependable and service-orientedMaintenance Technicianto support the day-to-day maintenance operations of a luxury condominium community. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role plays a key part in keeping common areas and residential units operating smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on skills who enjoys variety and takes pride in quality work. What You’ll Do Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs in common areas and residential units. Handle entry-level tasks including light plumbing, basic electrical work, painting, drywall patching, carpentry, and lock repairs. Assist with HVAC-related tasks such as filter replacement and basic inspections. Support move-ins and move-outs by preparing common areas and assisting with logistics. Escort vendors andcontractors,operate freight elevators as needed, and conduct walkthroughs before and after work is completed. Assist with general building upkeep, porter duties, and package handling when needed. Serve as backup support to the Maintenance Supervisor when required. What You Need to Succeed Basic knowledge of general maintenance practices and use of common hand and power tools. Ability to perform minor maintenance and repair tasks under the direction of the Engineering team. Willingness to be on-call or respond to after-hours emergencies. Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills. Reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Ability to work in a fast-paced, resident-focused environment. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience inresidential facilities is a plus.
