Business Analyst

You will work directly with stakeholders, Data Architects, and ETL teams to build reporting solutions that improve decision-making across multiple programs and channels.WHY THIS ROLE STANDS OUTMany Business Analyst positions focus primarily on requirements gathering, documentation, or process coordination. You will personally design and develop sophisticated Power BI dashboards, combine information from multiple sources, build advanced DAX measures, and ensure reporting accuracy from development through delivery. If you enjoy working directly with stakeholders while remaining hands-on with data, this role provides the opportunity to own reporting solutions from initial business question through final executive-facing dashboard. LOCATIONUptown Charlotte, NC Hybrid - 3x Per week WHAT YOU WILL DODesign, develop, and maintain dynamic Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations Create complex data models that combine information from multiple internal and external sources Develop advanced DAX measures, SQL queries, scripts, and stored procedures Partner directly with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into reporting solutions Build comprehensive reporting packages that present information clearly across multiple audiences Learn business processes and key performance indicators to deliver more meaningful analytical solutions Create wireframes and mockups to demonstrate proposed dashboards and reporting concepts Validate data accuracy and troubleshoot reporting or data-integrity concerns Maintain and enhance existing reports, dashboards, and recurring reporting processes Partner with Data Architects and ETL teams on source data, data warehouses, and data marts Support the transition of departmental and legacy reporting into Power BI WHAT THEY ARE LOOKING FORAdvanced, recent experience developing reports and dashboards in Microsoft Power BI Strong experience with DAX, data modeling, relationships, and calculated measures Ability to write complex SQL queries, scripts, and stored procedures Experience combining, reconciling, and validating data from multiple sources Background translating stakeholder requirements into polished reporting deliverables Strong understanding of dashboard design, data visualization, and executive-level presentation Experience diagnosing data discrepancies and taking ownership of reporting accuracy Ability to present or discuss examples of previously developed dashboards and reporting solutions Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related professional experience WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFULYou can balance hands-on technical development with strong business communication You naturally question, validate, and reconcile data before presenting it You understand how to translate business questions into meaningful KPIs and visualizations You can make complex information clear, concise, and visually compelling You are comfortable managing several reporting priorities in a fast-paced environment You take ownership of deliverables from initial requirements through testing and implementation You are curious about the business behind the data—not simply the technical output WHAT THEY OFFER YOUA hybrid opportunity within a highly recognizable enterprise organization Ownership of reporting solutions used to support meaningful business decisions Direct partnership with business stakeholders, data teams, and technology leaders The opportunity to modernize and transition reporting into Power BI Exposure to complex enterprise data sources, warehouses, and analytical environments A visible role combining business intelligence development, analytics, and stakeholder partnership The opportunity to build reporting solutions with measurable organizational impact
