Samaritan's Purse is seeking Construction Workers to join our Rebuild team in San Angelo, Texas. As a member of our team, you will work alongside other passionate individuals to construct and repair homes in affected areas, lead volunteers, and ensure the highest quality of work. But this job is more than just construction - it's an opportunity to share the love of Jesus Christ with volunteers and homeowners. A day in the life of a Construction Worker: At Samaritan's Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff, and volunteers who serve around the globe. In the role of a Construction Worker, you will have the opportunity to: Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him Work jointly with the Project Superintendent, Construction Foremen, and Logistics Coordinators to construct and/or repair homes in the affected area Work with and lead volunteers Work with other construction workers and hired subcontractors when needed Ensure the quality of each project is maintained to the highest possible standard Provide safety training and general project training for team members at the job site and ensure all work is done according to safety standards Maintain the security of all materials and equipment at job sites Ensure quality and adherence to Samaritan's Purse policies from hired subcontractors Inspect all jobs, ensuring work is performed per federal, state, and local laws and codes Communicate and minister to homeowners and partners, keeping them informed of the team's work and projected needs One-year certificate from college or technical school and six (6) months to one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
