Industry Medical Devices Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is seeking a Head of Cybersecurity to lead its small but growing cybersecurity team. The successful candidate will be a trusted leader in the field, responsible for defining and enforcing enterprise security and privacy strategy, and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and protected health information. This hands-on role requires extensive knowledge of security architecture and tools, and the ability to work closely with IS and IT teams to maintain security standards. The Head of Cybersecurity will also be involved in security event monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management, and will drive the evolution of the security program in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, with at least 5 years in a people management role, and a background in security tools such as CrowdStrike, Rapid7, and Mimecast. Experience in cloud security, and with industry standards and frameworks like SOC2 Type II and HITRUST, is essential. The role also requires a strong understanding of HIPAA privacy and security rules, and experience in regulated healthcare or pharma environments. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, be passionate about their work, and have the ability to translate complex security concepts to senior leadership. Information security certifications are a plus, and experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, insurance, or financial services industry is strongly desired.
