Preventative Maintenance (PM) Mechanic

We are looking for a professional Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a wide variety of equipment and trucks at our New Rochelle headquarters. This position requires the ability to work independently, and in a group setting to accomplish tasks assigned. To be successful in this role you must be physically and mentally fit and have a strong mechanical aptitude. You should also have knowledge and skills needed to perform basic maintenance and repairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills. Our business experiences seasonal peaks, and as a result, you should be available and willing to work overtime when necessary. Responsibilities Work in a shop setting and out in the field, performing repairs to a wide variety of heavy and light trucks and equipment. Troubleshoot issues. Perform preventative maintenance services as necessary. Perform general shop duties as assigned by the fleet manager. Drive within the tri-state area as necessary to perform repairs or maintenance in the field. Minimum 2 years of experience working on equipment and road vehicles. Understanding of hydraulics systems. Experience with Bucket Trucks, Chippers and Spray equipment is a plus. Experience with diagnostic tools. Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems. Comprehend service manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Maintain detailed records of services performed. Must provide own basic tool set. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Strong attention to detail.
