Due to MSG's continued growth, a new opening is available for a Project Engineer to assist with our projects in Hermitage & Cranberry, PA!Department: Civil/MunicipalEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: Hermitage, PAWorkplace type: OnsiteCompensation: $35.00 - $62.00 / hourReporting To: Jim MartinKey ResponsibilitiesWork in conjunction with other licensed engineers assisting with the design and preparation of a variety of commercial, industrial, residential, energy and community projects throughout the Midwest.Coordinate with fellow MSG staff across a variety of services sectors including: Surveying, Environmental, Geotechnical, Structural, Traffic, Transportation, MEP, Site Construction, etc.Perform and check various design calculations and performing various tasks as they relate to preparing a design package, under the supervision of senior engineering staff.Prepare front end feasibility documents, due diligence reports and zoning studies, project development, storm water modeling and design, cost estimates and detailed design plans.Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.EIT certification in the state of Pennsylvania, with the ability to obtain PE certification within 6 to 12 months, preferred.3-5 years of practical experience in design and plan preparation for site-civil land development projects (commercial, industrial, residential) required.Experience with industry design standards and ADA accessible design.Understanding of guidelines and specifications.Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D grading and pipe networks/profiles is required.Proficiency in independent preparation of storm water management design, calculations, and reports is preferred.Experience preparing PA NPDES Permits, erosion control, and stormwater management permits/approvals is preferred.Experience with utility design and sewer planning is a plus.The ability to engage reviewing agencies while preparing technical designs and addressing comments is a critical part of our process.The ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating and coordinating with review agencies.Benefits401(k) w/ company matchHealth insurance w/ HSA option, Vision, Dental, LifeFlexible schedulePaid time offReferral programTuition reimbursementCatalytic Coaching - Employees draft a development plan aimed at improving contributions in their current job and increasing the potential for other opportunities.
