Summary Of Human Service Professional Role The Human Service Professional supports individuals facing mental health challenges, homelessness, or involvement with the criminal justice system, providing trauma-informed, recovery-focused services in diverse settings such as community centers, shelters, jails, and schools. Responsibilities include assisting with Medicaid and FoodShare enrollment Social Security, ID, employment, and housing applications Mental health coordination and recovery support Life skills, coping strategies, budgeting, and medication management Educational support for GED or technical college Supporting Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) They collaborate with clients and teams, maintain accurate documentation, and utilize evidence-based practices to promote independence and stability.
