Now we are seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Account Manager to join our Houston-based team, supporting our software product portfolio within the oil and gas industry. As account manager you will manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts, drive renewals and expansion opportunities, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients using Cegal's geoscience and data management solutions. The role also includes delivering live software demonstrations to prospective and existing clients as part of the sales and account management process.

The ideal candidate combines strong commercial instincts with an understanding of the technical and operational needs of E&P companies, and thrives in a client-facing, consultative sales environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring high customer satisfaction, retention, and expansion of Cegal's software footprint
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with technical and business stakeholders at client organizations
• Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across Cegal's product suite (including Blueback, Well Ties, and related offerings)
• Lead contract renewals, pricing discussions, and negotiations in coordination with internal stakeholders
• Serve as the primary point of contact for client escalations, coordinating with technical and support teams to resolve issues
• Develop account plans and forecasts, tracking revenue performance and pipeline health for assigned accounts
• Collaborate with marketing, product, and technical teams to ensure client feedback informs product development and go-to-market strategy
• Represent Cegal at industry conferences, client meetings, and networking events across the Houston energy community and broader Americas region
• Prepare and deliver client presentations, business reviews, and renewal proposals
• Conduct live software demonstrations of Cegal's product suite for prospective and existing clients, tailoring demos to each audience's technical and business needs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Geoscience, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• 5+ years of relevant experience in account management, sales, or business development, ideally within software, technology, or the oil & gas industry
• Familiarity with geoscience workflows, subsurface data, or E&P software (e.g., Petrel, well-tie workflows, or similar tools) is a strong plus, as is familiarity with subsurface data management
• Proven track record of managing client relationships and meeting or exceeding revenue targets
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with ability to translate technical product capabilities into clear business value for clients
• Comfortable learning and presenting software products to technical and non-technical audiences; prior experience delivering product demos is a plus
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously
• Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry events
