Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Repair Design EngineerLocation: Bristol – Hybrid (Minimum 3 Days On-Site Per Week)Working Pattern: Full TimeAs a Repair Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting operational Defence customers and Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) facilities. You will be responsible for developing, validating, and implementing innovative repair solutions that extend the life of mission-critical components. Working with advanced aerospace technology, you will ensure that Rolls-Royce engines remain operational, efficient, and cost-effective.This role offers the opportunity to work on a huge diversity of products, including engines such as Adour, EJ200, RB199, Gem, Gnome, Viper, Spey, MTR390, MT30, Pegasus, TP400, MRTT, and WR21. Key responsibilities include:Defining, developing, and substantiating Repair Instructions and coordinating implementation at internal and external Repair suppliers.Establishing acceptance standards for service-run components and supporting MRO operations in hardware disposition.Collaborating with Materials Repair Technology teams to develop and apply innovative repair and inspection technologies.Identifying opportunities to reduce repair costs and improve component reliability.Driving continuous improvement in processes and tools used for developing and supporting repair instructions.Who We’re Looking ForAt Rolls-Royce, we put safety first, do the right thing, keep it simple, and make a difference.
