What You'll Do

As a BHE Assembler / Production Operator, you'll play a critical role in building products that support industries around the world.

Your Daily Responsibilities Will Include:

✅ Operating production equipment, machines, and overhead cranes safely

✅ Loading and unloading metal plates, components, and finished products

✅ Assembling heat exchangers using hand and power tools

✅ Utilizing touchscreen computer systems to access work instructions and update production information

✅ Setting up and monitoring equipment to ensure efficient, high-quality production

✅ Reading blueprints, work orders, and manufacturing instructions

✅ Inspecting products to ensure they meet strict quality standards

✅ Troubleshooting minor production or equipment issues

✅ Supporting shipping, warehouse, and production functions as needed

✅ Participating in process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives

✅ Maintaining organized workstations through 5S practices

✅ Collaborating with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Warehouse teams to keep production moving efficiently

Preferred Qualifications:

✔ 2–3 years of manufacturing experience operating machines, equipment, or production systems

✔ Experience using hand and power tools in a production or assembly environment

✔ Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

✔ Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and manufacturing drawings

✔ Experience with machine operation and assembly processes

✔ Comfortable working with computers and touchscreen production systems

✔ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly

✔ Strong focus on safety, quality, and attention to detail

✔ Ability to follow SOPs and maintain compliance with safety requirements

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of RICHMOND, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
