Occupational Therapist School Setting - Irmo, SC

Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a dynamic contract opportunity working within school settings in the Irmo, SC area, with a start date in August for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. This full-time position offers a consistent 4-day workweek (30 hours) and the chance to contribute your skills to one or two elementary schools within the region. CFs are strongly encouraged to apply—bring your passion and begin your professional journey making a difference for elementary-aged students. SLPA candidates are not being considered for this position.

Key Qualifications:

Valid OT license (or eligibility) in South Carolina
Experience or strong interest in pediatric and school-based OT services
New graduates and Clinical Fellows are welcomed
Collaborative, flexible, and organized with strong communication skills
Ability to thrive while managing varied caseloads and adapting to changing school environments

Responsibilities:

Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary students, targeting academic and daily living skill development
Collaborate with teachers, families, and school teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress according to school guidelines
Foster positive relationships with school staff and students to enhance therapy outcomes
Assist with caseload management, potentially across one or two nearby elementary campuses
