Senior Employment Law Attorney - PAGA Recent PAGA experience within the last 12 months is required. As the Employment Law Department continues to grow, our firm is seeking a Senior Employment Law Attorney with 10+ years of experience handling Private Attorneys General matters. Responsibilities PAGA Litigation Lead and manage complex PAGA claims from inception through resolution. Develop and execute litigation strategies that balance risk, settlement opportunities, and litigation costs. Draft and argue motions, manage discovery, take and defend depositions, and prepare cases for trial. Represent clients in mediations, settlement negotiations, hearings, and court proceedings. Collaborate with litigation teams to ensure successful case outcomes. Client Advisory and Compliance Counsel employers on compliance with California labor and employment laws. Conduct wage and hour audits and employment law compliance reviews. Advise clients regarding employee classification, wage and hour practices, and meal and rest break compliance. Monitor developments in employment law and provide proactive guidance regarding legislative and case law changes affecting PAGA exposure. Client Relationships and Business Development Serve as a trusted advisor to employer clients. Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and grow the practice. Develop and present webinars, workshops, and training programs on PAGA compliance and litigation trends. Participate in networking and business development activities. Leadership and Mentorship Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and legal staff. Review pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other work product. Foster a collaborative team environment focused on excellence and professional development. Provide strategic guidance on PAGA litigation and compliance matters. Qualifications Required 10+ years of employment law litigation experience. Significant experience handling PAGA matters. Recent PAGA experience within the last year is required. Well-established employment litigation defense background. Experience conducting employment law compliance reviews and wage and hour audits. Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Bachelor's degree. Active member of the State Bar of California in good standing. Outstanding research, analytical, negotiation, writing, and advocacy skills. Strong commitment to proactive case management. Preferred Jury trial or civil trial experience. Public entity defense experience.
