About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Managing Director, Advancement to join their Revenue and Development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a high-performing team and designing a comprehensive donor relations strategy to meet and exceed ambitious revenue goals. This role is pivotal in translating regional fundraising strategy into programs, tools, and experiences that local fundraising teams can deploy. The Senior Managing Director will also be tasked with managing development operations, setting operational standards, and building systems to ensure local teams can focus on donors and execute with excellence. A key aspect of the role is to model enterprise leadership and act as an organizational steward, contributing to the selection of corps members and other enterprise-wide priorities. Applicants for the Senior Managing Director, Advancement position should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in a complex development and fundraising context, with a proven track record in donor cultivation, stewardship, and pipeline-building. The role requires a skilled leader who can set a vision and lead the execution of complex fundraising events, produce compelling donor communications, and manage a diverse team across multiple functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to influence and drive alignment across geographically dispersed teams, as well as comfort in using CRM data to monitor progress and adjust strategy. A donor-centered mindset, exceptional writing and communication skills, and the ability to work in close partnership with senior leaders are essential for this role.
